Bohemian Rhapsody – Decorating Bohemian Style

I don’t know what it is, but lately I have been LOVING bohemian decor.  Okay, maybe I do know…my younger sister just found an apartment for her and her bf (and dog) and I am helping them come up with bohemian decor ideas.  **Side note: My sibs have been asking me lately to help them decorate and I love it!  I think I secretly want to be an interior designer!  Shhhhh!!! Don’t tell my boss. 😉

My sister Sharon definitely speaks “boho”… from her jewelry, to her clothes, to her spirit.  It’s all so beautiful and I know that her place will be a perfect bohemian retreat.  Below is a Pinterest board I started for her.  Just a few ideas so far…

I’m definitely loving the use of plants in the spaces I pinned.  My sister’s place has a small wall heater that she wants to cover up the majority of the year (she lives in So Cal peeps).  So I was thinking something like this to distract the eye…

Granted they would only use the top shelf, but I love the use of wood and cement and then all the different shaped pots and plants.  So cute!  And who doesn’t love all that extra oxygen those guys are emitting!? 🙂

I also love the use of hanging plants…A boho pad isn’t complete without hanging plants right?!

Pillows are another great bohemian touch.  Throw pillows, floor pillows, all kind of pillows! 🙂  And they add color and texture!

My sister loves candles, incense and crystals.  So I thought the below idea could work for her place.
