As I’m writing this post, I’m realizing we explored a lot during our week in Paris. It’s been fun reliving these memories; I hope you’re enjoying them too. 🙂
Another must do in the City of Light is hanging out on the Left Bank of the Seine River.
The last time we were in Paris the Seine was not this cool. In fact, cars were still using it as a passageway. There wasn’t really a walking area or restaurants or bars?! It’s amazing how much can change in five years.
My husband and I found ourselves walking along the river on multiple occasions.
During the heat of the day and the cool of the night, this area was constantly packed.
People were working out, skateboarding and just enjoying the spring weather.
We loved it.
There are restaurants and bars along the Seine and we liked to call this area “party central”. So many cool Parisians enjoying the May weather.
We wandered over here one evening to check out the scene. It was too hot to sit in the sun, so we ended up going to Bistro Alexandre III and grabbed a drink.
This place is literally a boat on the water right past Pont Alexandre Bridge. It was a fun spot to people watch per usge. We got good at that. ;)
Our last night in Paris was also spent along the Seine. We purchased a bottle of wine and headed over to the river with our Pierre Hermé macaroons. (You can read about that place here).
This was probably around 8:30pm and it’s still light out?! Love it!
It was hot and humid and rained a little bit as we sat along the water reflecting on the week we just had. It was the perfect way to end our last evening in Paris.
I hope you make your way over to the Seine when you’re in Paris. Hang out at one of the restaurants or bring your own picnic and soak it all in. 🙂
My next post is going to cover Sacré-Cœur so keep you’re eye out!
